Before doing anything else, you're going to jump into a steam vent and stay there for 7 minutes for an achievement. While you may be able to rack this up through gameplay, it's easier to get it out the way now.

Venting frustration Spend 7 minutes on steam vents. You want to head up and to the left - you may need to use jumping and floating to get there. Exit the building and look for a valve. You need to turn this valve to release another steam vent. Use this steam to reach the platform ahead. You then need to use Shrink Sense to see some hidden platforms moving on the right.

This snout is hidden on the side of the building. You can use the new steam vent to reach this snout. Head back to the beginning, and this time do not jump on the invisible platforms. Use the steam to reach the visible area on the left. Two Madcaps will be up here, and you'll need to defeat them before entering the building.

There's a small round on the right with a few breakable objects inside. Break them, and there's a keyhole behind the boxes. Head back to the building entrance, and look for a machine near a rotating wheel.

You need to pull a lever to move this wheel. Jump across the gap to collect some teeth. Shrink down to walk under the door in this room. On the other side are a few enemies and breakable objects. Then walk outside to find three Madcaps near a steam engine.

Defeat them all and then turn the valve on the steam engine. This will bring up another steam vent. Use this to reach the platform above. Make your way across the platforms to the next building entrance. There will be another Madcap in the next entrance, so defeat it and then walk around the side. There are a few more steam vents and moving platforms that you need to use to move to the next area.

You'll then fight a few more Madcaps and then you'll be able to proceed into the next area. At the end of this next area are a few more platforms. Jump down and then use Shrink Sense. You'll need to jump to the invisible platforms and enter the side of the building.

Peppering it will reward you with a basket full of teeth. Exit the building and walk to the right to find a few more steam vents and moving platforms - these platforms are cogs. Get across this area to the next solid platform. There is another steam engine here that you'll need to start in order to bring up another steam vent.

Before proceeding, look to the left for a hole in the wall. Go inside. Then exit out of the hole, and use a mushroom to jump back to the platform. Use the steam vent and moving cog to reach another platform. Jump to the entrance of the next building, and then turn around to find this snout on the side of the last platform.

Then enter the building and shrink down to find a keyhole on the left. Grab the teeth in here. Go back out and jump across a gap. Peppering it ill bring up yet another steam vent. Use this steam vent to get to a small platform on the right. There's a keyhole up here on the left wall.

Go back through the keyhole and jump down to the platform you shot the snout from. Move forward, collect teeth from the breakable objects, and then proceed into the next location.

At the start of this location, you'll be introduced to the Eyepot. They can do a lot of damage when attacking, but luckily they'll give you time to dodge out the way. You want to weaken them with the Pepper Grinder, and when it falls to its side, use the Vorpal Blade to finish it off.

You'll want to make your way onto the next platform, and continue to make your way up. Don't stand still for too long, as Eyepots will shoot hot tea at you. You can, however, use your Pepper Grinder to shoot them from far away.

Just remember to not let your Pepper Grinder overheat. As you continue your ascent, you'll get to a platform with an Eyepot and an Insidious Ruin. Defeat them and head to the next platform with the steam engine on it. Turn it to bring a steam vent up, and use it to get to the higher platform where there are another two Eyepots. Once you've defeated them, the door to the Lost and Found will open. Upon entering this room, you'll be able to use to hear some dialog from the Cheshire Cat.

You'll want to jump over to the other platform to find a pressure pad. Stand on it until a platform lowers. Quickly run back round and over onto this platform before it raises back up. Make sure not to touch the tea waterfalls. When you get to the top, collect the teeth and jump to the lower platform behind you. Walk through the door and make your way over the platforms. Go through a tunnel-like area until you get to a room with a hole in the wall. Shrink down and go through the hole. There's a room with hidden platforms - so use Shrink Sense to find them as you make your way up the platforms.

Head back into the last room, and go up the ramp. There's a pressure pad at the top. This opens the door on the other side of the room, so you want to stand on the pad until the top is completely open. Then you want to perform a triple jump to reach the ramp that goes up to this door. When you make it to the ramp, go through the door. There's a teapot with a lever here, so pull it to open a door at the bottom of the room.

Head over to the now open door, and slide down the slide. You'll want to get as many teeth as you can on your way down. In this room is a new weapon for you, called the Clockwork Bomb. Walk up to it to pick it up.

You can throw one of these bombs and detonate it, or you can wait until the timer hits zero. Throw a bomb towards the blocked doors to open them up or you to proceed. Jump across to the platform with a few boxes on it.

Destroy them to make a mushroom appear. Jump on it and then go through the Lost and Found door. Before you jump up to the cogs that lead to a door, walk down the path, and look for a keyhole on the left. Go back outside, and then jump from cog to cog to reach the flaming door. On the other side of this door is where you'll have a tutorial about Hysteria. When Alice's health gets low, you'll be able to activate Hysteria using.

You'll be able to deal more damage while being immune to receiving damage. It only lasts for a few seconds though. This will be the only time you should use Hysteria during your playthrough. This will allow you to get. Level-Headed Finish the game using Hysteria only once. For one of the achievements, you're going to want to come back to this point with the Hobby Horse weapon.

If it's fully upgraded, you'll need to change the difficulty to Nightmare in order for this to work. You're going to aim to deal the final blow to 4 Insidious Ruins with the Hobby Horse. This will unlock. The video below shows this in action. All you need to do is, once you've completed the game, go to Chapter Select and pick Always Elevenses. Then play through to this section on Easy. Then go to Settings, Game Options and change the difficulty to Nightmare.

Then go for this achievement. If you mess it up, just restart. It'll only go back to the start of this tutorial. Once the Insidious Ruin is defeated, move on until you reach a gap. At the other end of this gap is a red target.

Use to enter aiming mode, and then use your Pepper Grinder to shoot it until it turns green. This will lower a platform for you to use to cross over to the other side.

You'll need to use a Triple Jump to cross the gap. Continue into the next location. Upon entering this area, you'll have a cutscene. Collect the teeth from the boxes, and remove the doors blocking your path with a Clockwork Bomb. Step on the pressure pad, and then place a Clockwork Bomb on it. This will open a door that you need to run through before the bomb detonates. The next area will introduce you to blocking with your Umbrella. You block with the Umbrella by holding and. You'll face a new enemy, the Menacing Ruin.

Blocking with your Umbrella will deflect the Menacing Ruin's fireball back to them, as long as you block just before the fireball would hit you. Menacing Ruin also charge, so you don't want to stand still for long. After defeating the Menacing Ruin, look left of the door you came through. After the fight, two red lights will appear. Use the Pepper Grinder to turn these green.

This will make a few platforms appear. Jump across the platforms on the right, to reach the cart that's on the tracks. Take this cart to the next location - Smelling and Regurgitating. Head towards the first room, collect teeth from the boxes along the way. This room will have lava in.

Look up for a red clock on the wall. Pepper it to move the platforms up and down. You'll need to jump and float across the platforms to continue. In the next room, be ready for a fight. Start by jumping to the platform in the middle, and a few Insidious Ruins and Eyepots will raise from the ground to fight. Defeat them, and then look to the left and right sides of this room.

Go to the fourth side of this platform, and jump down. You'll find some teeth on the lower platform. Turn around and jump under the middle platform. Shrink down, and enter the keyhole. Pull the lever that's in here. This lever opens a door to the left and moves some platforms around. Walk out onto the door, and then jump to the platform on the right when it appears.

Jump onto the platform ahead, which will bring you up to the main area. Look up for another doorway and moving platform. Jump on this platform to reach the doorway. You'll need to be quick - otherwise, the platform will drop into lava. Proceed through until you reach another lava area. Fight off the enemies, and use the Pepper Grinder to defeat the Eyepot in the distance. Jump to the platform on the left and look behind it. This will then bring up a platform with Memory 18 as well.

Snout 10 You will find it in the area where you have to turn a valve to freeze the lava on the ground below. Once you have turned the valve, jump down onto the frozen lava and look underneath the main platform of this room and you find it underneath it. Snout 11 You will find it in the next room just after fighting the eyepots. You will fight more enemies in this area and afterwards need to freeze the lava by turning a valve. You will then find it in the area behind the false gear located at the far right side of the room from where you first entered.

You will just have found Memory 20 just before this Snout. Snout 12 You will find it in the area just after passing through the frozen tunnel. There will be a platform to your right along the path and after shooting a switch and using 2 vents. Then on this platform use a clockwork bomb to blow up the weak wall. You will find the Snout flying to the left outside of the hole. Snout 13 You will find it to the left as soon as you enter the area with the bird cages. You will need to jump on the bird cage towards the left from where you entered and then look through the hole in the wall to see and shoot the Snout.

This will also reveal a Bottle to collect on the next bird cage. Snout 14 You will find it flying to the left as soon as you enter this area. After you have shot the Snout a vent will then appear allowing you to up to a gear with Memory You'll also be on the lookout for a Bottle. Walk all the way to the end of the area, look and remember where the invisible platforms are, and then place a Clockwork Bomb on the weight-affected platform here.

After you've collected this bottle, place a Clockwork Bomb on the nearest weight-affected platform, and then run onto the one that rises up. This one will be high enough for you to reach the next area, and in here, you'll have a few things you need to do. Start off by going to the right side, and use Shrink Sense to find an invisible bridge. Go to the end of this bridge, and use the Teapot Cannon to shoot the wall opposite. Then go back and place a Clockwork Bomb on the pressure pad that's at the edge of the floor.

This will bring up a red light, in the gap in the wall you created, that you need to shoot. A platform will rise up in the middle of the gap. Take the left path up from the main area, and you'll be able to jump to the new platform from up here. Then jump to the platform that's hanging in the sky. You're going to fight a few Card Guards and a Menacing Ruin. Once you've defeated them, you'll head to a new area, with the Executioner behind you. You'll need to run from him, and you may need to use your Dodge ability to avoid him.

Eventually, you'll slide into a new area. There's another chess puzzle here. Then exit the room. The path here is split into two, left and right. Take the right path and go through a keyhole use Shrink Sense to find it. Exit the keyhole and go down the other path to find some Card Guards to defeat.

This is another battle challenge, where you'll need to fight Drowned Sailors and a Daiymo Wasp. Your Teapot Cannon is a good weapon here. Once you're done, continue down the main path. Before you go into the next room, there's a breakable wall on the left. Behind it is some teeth.

Go into the next room, and you'll need to place a Clockwork Bomb on the first, weight-affected platform. Jump to the platform that's risen up.

You'll get a basket of teeth for peppering it. In the middle are two weight-affected platforms. The hole in between these platforms has a mushroom for you to get onto the elevated platform. Start off by riding the nearest platform to the snout down to the bottom.

Then place a Clockwork Bomb on this platform, and use the mushroom to get to the raised one. Pull the lever up here, and a gate at the other end of the room will open. Before going through the door, drop back down and look for the purple flower. Stand near it and use Shrink Sense to find an invisible, moving platform.

Jump to it, and ride it to the wall. Go back to the main platform, and place a Clockwork Bomb on the weight-affect door that's furthest from the door. Jump to the second platform to reach the door. In the next room is a chess puzzle.

Exit the room and go into the next door. It'll be flying in the air. Go down the main path, and when you get to the gap, use Shrink Sense to find the invisible bridges and platforms. Go along them until you spot a breakable wall. After going back to the main path, continue on, and defeat the Card Guards and Menacing Ruin that are at the bottom. Once you've defeated them, go to the gazebo that's covered in Ruin Barriers. Keep going until you reach some steps. When you do, turn around and jump up to the first level.

Use Shrink Sense to find some invisible platforms that have teeth on them. Then continue into the hedge maze. Start by taking the right path, and break the floor at the end. Walk back to the main path and at the first fork in the road, on the right are some enemies to defeat and teeth to collect.

The left path continues through the area. At the second fork in the road, the left has enemies and teeth, while the right path continues on. When going down the right path, you'll need to defeat some Card Guards and Drifting Ruin to keep going.

As you keep going, you'll eventually start being chased by the Executioner, again. Run away, and at the end, you'll have a cutscene. You'll start this bit with Alice as a giant. You can punch and stomp things that are around you. Break everything to collect teeth and roses. To continue, you'll need to break some red barriers. This portion is incredibly easy in comparison to everything else.

Stop on the red circles that are on the ground to stop Card Guards from appearing. You'll need to rip out one specific tentacle to remove them all. To finish, destroy the castles, and at the bottom will be a heart.

Be careful around the castles, as they can hurt you. Once you've destroyed the heart, more barriers will open. Now you'll be small again. Head forward, but go past the red hole for now. Now go down the red hole, which is another slide. At the bottom, you'll find a blue heart on the wall. Before you shoot it, turn around and use Shrink Sense near the wall with a stone heart on it. To complete this challenge, you'll need to destroy the red pots that Card Guards appear from, pull out a tentacle, destroy more pots, pull another tentacle, and then destroy the tower.

Once you're done, go back and shoot the blue heart. In the next room, you'll need to shoot more blue hearts. The first is on the wall. Shooting it will raise up some platforms on the left. Cross them into a new room.

Turn around to find the second heart above you. Go back into the last area, and cross the newly appeared platforms. The third heart is on the right wall. Go through the door and fight some Insidious Ruin. Once defeated, use Shrink Sense to find a keyhole on the right wall. Continue into the next room, and shoot the two blue hearts. One is on the left, the other on the right.
