Should i play bioshock 2

Bioshock has better gameplay. BioShock 2 got some acclaim when it first came out, but it was generally regarded as the lesser entry. CPU: Intel single-core Pentium 4 processor at 2.

Hard Drive: 8GB. Frank Fontaine real name unknown is the main antagonist in BioShock. Yes, you can play Bioshock Infinite without having played the other games in the Collection first. Rapture is a fictional city in the BioShock series published by 2K Games. It is an underwater city that is the main setting for the games BioShock and BioShock 2. The city also briefly appears in BioShock Infinite , and is featured in its downloadable content, Burial at Sea.

While there was still to be a connection to Rapture in some way, it was decided that the game would take place in a new city. On average, completing the main story will take You don't NEED to play the first one, but it does help.

The first one is actually better than the sequel, as the two previous posters stated. The game is longer and more in depth, better character development, better story, and just overall more to do and explore.

Bioshock 2 seemed short, rushed, and not well written. Don't get me wrong, it was still fun, but compared to the first game it seems like this one was kinda half-assed. User Info: gccsilver. Yes it will help you understand it.

Also i do recommend it. I like the original even more then the sequel User Info: Solidsnakex I would also advise you to play the 1st one.. I like that one better Are you counting the System Shock games? I would definitely play it. IMO it fills in some of the setting of Bioshock 1 a bit with regards to big daddies and little sisters.

My opinion though is to play it after Infinite. Mostly because while playing Infinite I missed the Rapture world more than I enjoyed new eden. You could just jump in and play it afterwards. I don't think it was as good as Bioshock 1 but it was still a good game to play.

I would also agree to play Bioshock 2. It was similar to the original, but added the ability to use your plasmids and guns at the same time. Plus the Drill Charge is a scream when you slam into a splicer and send them flying. The story itself had some really good twists and it is interesting to see the other side of the Objectivist coin with a Collectivist society. Plus it had the awesome Minerva's Den DLC that also provided a great side story and a really cool new plasmid.

Infinite is also a good choice as well. It also has a tight story and the combat is a blast. The final plot twist alone is worth the price of admission. Contents of this thread are a bit surreal.

Almost no one on here was down with Bioshock 2 when it came out; the thread was replete with pronunciations of disappointment.

I skipped Bioshock 2 after playing it for about 30 minutes. It was pretty disappointing after playing Bioshock 1 which is my favorite of the series. I never would have guessed I was in the minority of not enjoying 2. I just didn't enjoy it at all. Loved the first one, just couldn't get into 2.

Maybe someday I'll have to give it a go again. Nemesis has spoken. Big daddy hes fav part. The purchase line starts behind me. Please remain orderly.

Thank you for your cooperation. The exception being the Minerva's Den expansion was that only on consoles? Jakal wrote: And there you have it, folks. I interpreted that as Big Daddy may fave part, and may not fave part. Who fave part do you? Who are these people that buy games and then don't play them? Oh, its you. I don't get it. Are you asking if you should play it next , or at all?

If you liked the first game then definitely play the second. It's pretty much the same, just a bit different. Bioshock 2 is more of the same. The story is good, but not as good as the first. You won't get the shock and awe of seeing Rapture that you got from the first. The action is a bit better, since you can use guns and plasmids at the same time. IIRC it was a bit more balanced, rather than Bioshock 1's "hit everything with a wrench until it dies, or maybe use the stunlocking electric shotgun if its a big daddy and the respawn point is a long way away".

The main negative point is that you'll feel like you've seen it all before. I didn't complete it, since I got a bit burned out on the gameplay. There is nothing in 2 that is useful for an understanding of Infinite's backstory.

I would play Bioshock 1 than infinite than 2. Originally posted by Lord GabeN :. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 8 Jun, am. Posts: Discussions Rules and Guidelines.
